Ward's Favorite People Spots
People I knew before they had a Web site
These days, one can meet new people via their Web sites. This list honors the older custom of meeting people in the real world (and then finding them on the Web).
- Bill Caloccia is a MacBuddy, a deranged stuffed critter tester, and an amazing QuickTime VR photographer.
- Bob Clark is my nephew and cyberentrepreneur.
- Bob Peterson and I worked together at Digital (R.I.P.), Open Market, and now Ten League Boots.
- Catherine Holmes Clark is one I've known longest -- since we were both 13 years old!
- Dana Groff and I met years ago at DECmug (Macintosh Users Group at Digital).
- Deb O'Hanlon, who I met at First Parish, has her fingers in many Web sites.
- Fred Otto (once known as cousin Ricky) used to live two doors away on Ward Lane and now appears in his Hilltop Lumber & Woodwork site.
- Greg Mott is an On Wings of Song bass buddy & world traveller.
- Holly Hendricks and I sang together the the touring edition of On Wings of Song.
- Jessica Irene Clark is my daughter, an ace seamstress (and Web site background thief).
- Jessica (Otto) Prentice (Ricky's big sister) & Jim Prentice have retired to RV-ing, ham-ing & Web build-ing.
- Jimi Two Feathers was an On Wings of Song sound engineer and bus driver in the early days. Morwen & Jimi founded the Earth Drum Council in 1990.
- Joan Wotkowicz has been my next door neighbor for nearly as long as Paul.
- Kevin Pammett is a long-lost friend who found me on the train.
- Margaret Meehan was a pioneer WebStore builder at Open Market.
- Paul Sebring has been my next door neighbor for years and years.
- Richard Thomson and I have worked together on two continents at
three four different companies. He walked across England.
- Richard Wells and I were GUI soul-mates on our mutual exit project from Digital (R.I.P.).
- Russ Clark is my nephew and proud cyberDad.
- Sparky Clark (Old Dad of Bob, Russ & Randy) beat his geeky brother (me) to blogging!
- Stephan Arsenault, first a First Parish buddy, later became an Open Market buddy.
- Ted Whittenkraus is barely identified in his CustomMade.com site.
- Tom Spine and I held similar views on GUI, usability, and the Grateful Dead during our last years at Digital.
- Wendy Clark is my daughter, and here's the proof! She is a Web designer at work and a moonlighter & blogger in real life.
